Yes, actually, but for a different reason. I'm getting ready to
go to a NYE party, and jerking off is part of my pre-party ritual.
It's because in case I get lucky, my stamina is doubled.
Yes, it does work.
Guests? You might as well ask about the people who aren't
Americans... oh whoops.
On a different note, I wonder where b0g's servers are hosted,
because, while the nameservers are in the USA, that US porn law 18 USC
2257 would make a lot of the pics on here "illegal." We
wouldn't want our tress to be tried under criminal law (yes,
criminal) because of that. Parts of Rotten.com have already
succumbed to that lame law, as have 4chan-esque websites. Soon
we'll end up like Germany. :\
From what I remember, I believe tress/b0b were sweating
about how illegal the porn section had become, so they
closed it down, and re-opened it with legal (sets bought or
shot themselves).
What other things are illegal?
Well the porn section was shut down because of
potential copyright violations (the posting of
commercial porn); however, the law I linked to above is
actually a new law that was passed this last year
(depending on whether it is even 2006 yet) which
requires documentation for all pornographic images.
It was a feel-good-law to "combat child
pornography" by requiring all images to have
accompanying age-verifying documentation. The penalty
is up to 5-years imprisonment. Pretty benign right?
Well, even pics that are "obviously"
depicting people who are of age can be used against
you, and high-profile websites like Rotten.com are easy
targets for "do-gooders" with too much time
on their hands. The penalty is up to 5-years of
imprisonment.
The bad part is that it doesn't directly violate
free speech laws; however, it does kill many sites like
the Gaping Maw, which is really too bad (great
writing). Also the law is "meant" to combat
child porn, so it carries a hefty moral penalty for
anybody with real power. I hope the courts throw it
out in a test case or two.
I had thought that perhaps the servers were hosted in
Norway (for some odd reason), but that country has some
pretty archaic porn laws, so I don't think
that's where the servers are located. I think
tress is from the UK; maybe it's there.
