Fact: Conflict exists as a most basic, fundamental part of humanity, and,
infact, all animals, right down to protozoa and ameoba.
Reason: A species that is static or immortal cannot overcome drastic
changes to it's environment.
Solution: Genetic variance via mutation and mortality to take advantage of
niches left behind by those that failed to adapt to a changed
environment.
Assumption: Humans are therefore conditioned for the use of Conflict as the
driving force of our lives, in order to prepare us for any changes to our
environment.
Observation: Mastery of Conflict (as Buddha did) breaks this cycle and
replaces it with an easier, peaceful, happy life, but leaves one unprepared
for change (ergo, the East was conquered by the West).
Observation: Modern government (regardless of the system;
Monarchy/Democracy/Theocracy/Communism, etc) is inevitably split between
two opposing groups: those with power, and those without.
Assertion: Those without power are greater in numbers, desire rights for
the individuals (an illusion of power), and not to be controlled.
Assertion: Those with power are few in numbers and desire control over the
populace.
Observation: All of history describes, and is nearly defined by,
Conflict.
Assertion: History, then, is merely the details of the Conflict between the
powerful and the powerless. An important detail is that, due to the nature
of Conflict, one can always overpower the other, a process called
Revolution if you're one of the Powerless or a process called
Development if you're one of the Powerful.
Conclusion: "Government" is a system whereby a (relatively)
stable balance is obtained; if the Powerful Develop too far, they exhaust
resources and the system collapses. The Powerful abuse the Powerless, and
Revolution occurs.
Assertion: The current system of Government is near both the end of a
Development cycle, as we're about to destroy our planet, and near a
Revolution cycle, from the recent personal rights being taken away from
us.
Theory: What is needed is a way to stop Development that isn't
Revolution... or vice versa.

Yes, it's merely a re-write of the original, hard-to-follow,

If you want a revolution, two things need to happen: 1) abuses/problems
need to appear at the individual level, and 2) the solution is perceived to
be achievable only through revolution.
I just don't see that happening, and certainly not for
"destroying the planet," or the "powerful" abusing
their power. For the latter, it has been that way since forever, only in
at least Western society it isn't that terrible. The
"powerful" are generally more interests in lining their own
pockets than controlling people. People may complain about it, but more
because they want some money too.
People have these thoughts in every generation, and when they grow old they
generally become more conservative in thinking anyway. We live a very short
while, so whatever changes we see during our lifetimes may seem big,
especially when we're young. What few realize, however, is that
things have been pretty much the same as before, and when it comes down to
it: life really isn't that bad, not bad enough to have a
revolution.
Observation: Because humans live on this planet, we have contaminated and
ruined everything on it and about it.
Solution: All Humans need to be eliminated as soon as possible.
Assumption: There is a meteor out there with our name on it.
Fact: It cannot get here soon enough.
"In order to have a revolution there has to be a major gap
between the poor and the rich" - George Orwell
I just can't see that in the near future, especially not in
the country where the middle class is the most important one.
The rest is just general talk. People don't want to be free,
they want to be satisfied.
I was referring the "Government" as the current
system. As opposed to anarchy, or animal heirachy where
every individual is ranked from the very highest to the very
lowest. There's a few other systems around that
isn't Government.
sound logic, but what can we do about it? There is no utopia anywhere,
ANYWHERE i said, that we could model our society after, even if we could
change it at will. Life sucks, get a fucking helmet.
