i just about had everything bolted back together when i discovered...
that i had pinched a ground wire for the injector harness between the
intake and the head when i installed the intake.
it damaged the intake gasket, so i had to visit Manny, Moe, and
Jack for a new gasket set. they didn't have it, so i went and saw
Ben instead.
he's a little pricier, but he always has what i need.
but i did eventually get it all back together.
a wider shot (by request). not the prettiest car in the world, but
cosmetics did not top the list of concerns when i bought it. the white car
in the back is my daily driver.
the three arrows on the right point to what i believe to be your clutch
cable.
it is secured to your clutch cable by a clevis
and pin assembly (green arrows - lower pic). once the clevis pin is
removed, the cable is either unbolted or unclipped from the firewall (far
right red arrow, top pic), and pulled through.
the manner that the cable is secured to the transmission and
clutch fork varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. get yourself a
service manual, or at least have someone who has done it before help
you.
you might want to remove the battery and intake/ air cleaner assembly (far
left arrows) first. WARNING if you damage the hose between the air cleaner
and engine, the engine will not run right.
have fun :)
