there won't be any further progress on the car project in the near
future...
the weather turned on me.
it was 72° on wednesday, and now there is 6" of sleet on the ground.
WTF?
i work tomorrow and sunday, and spring break ends monday. i got the major
issue taken care of. the car still needs some trans work, but i might find
another trans, repair it, and swap 'em out.
anyone know where i can find a cheap used Borg Warner t5 world-class?
an old work pic that has been sitting on my sD card for awhile:
it hit a jersey barrier at highway speed. never did get the whole story. it
is all patched up and back on the road now.
i got a question for you...often i see some bigrig tractors for sale in the
regional truck classified book in the $4k area, usualy advertising that
they have new tires and are ready to work. they usualy leave out the fact
that they have 700,000miles on them. but really, would it be worth it to
spend the dough just to drive one around and piss people off, or would it
probaly break and be a complete waste of money?
darn, ill have to do some research im pretty sure theres a
few loop holes for someone using a big truck for
non-comercial purposes. maybe not enough to make it cost
effective though. still a fun idea.
