i dont pay much for my cars, and they generally get little attention from
me other than a heavy dose of flogging.
this machine, which is my daily driver, has had a hole in the muffler for
some time, large enough to render the muffler pretty much useless.
i've been ignoring it for almost a year now, and would have kept on
ignoring it, except i came across some like-new mufflers that were
originally on the '67 GTO i've been working on. the owner had the
exhaust completely redone, and had no need for these 'temporary'
mufflers.
i don't know where he got them from, but they aren't both the
same, so i took the one that fit the best, and began modifying. a
test-install, some mark-up with a sharpie, a quick mitre cut with the
chop-saw...
the old muffler... i can't throw it away yet, i need a bracket off of
the back
a little torch work, a little welding, and we're ready for the
put-together.
success.
everything lined up just like i imagined. it's important to note that
i was about half in the bag when i started this project.
they see me rolling
and they be hatin' - and patrolling
trying to catch me riding dirty
