So, I know nobody missed me last week, but I went to Hawaii.
I spent 7 days on Kauai with my brother and my dad. The main reason
for the trip was to scatter my mothers ashes. She wasn't from Hawaii,
but she was very fond of it. My father dropped some along a beach and I
put some in what I like to call Turtle Cove. Apparently, sea turtles are
protectors of the dead in Hawaiian culture. At least that's what I
was told. I haven't bothered to research it. My dad told me that and
that's good enough for me.
Anyway, we visited Waimea Canyon, it was beautiful. It's like the
Grand Canyon of Hawaii or something.
The obligatory unrelated: That's my brother. In Hawaii. So I guess it's not
really unrelated, is it?
I lived on the Big Island in Hilo for 1 year then on Oahu for 1 year for
fuckin free!!!I just had to get up at 6 everyday and put on a CoastGuard
uniform.
I love Kauai, its the most lust island. Its what you think Hawaii should
be, and Waimea Canyon is just fantastic, great place to hike same for the
Nepali coast line
Yeah, I didn't get to see Na Pali coast. My dad stayed an extra
week. That's where he went. The good news is he bought a
timeshare while he was there and I'll get to go back next year!
