Ok so Wednesday night, my boyfriend and I are walking the dogs and we get
out on the street and there’s this guy. He’s on a skateboard and his two
75-pound pit bulls are pulling him. He sees us and veers off into the
street to go around us. Just as they’re passing us or I think they are,
his dogs turn and pull toward Dazy. They pull him off his skateboard and
attack my dog. One of them grabs her by the neck and the other by the
haunches. He’s starts beating the one on her neck, yelling at it to let
go, meanwhile I’m pulling on Dazy’s leash and harness to try to get her
away. The one on her neck finally lets go and I’m pulling so hard on the
leash that she gets airborne but the one’s still got her by the leg. That
dog finally lets go and we get ‘em separated, my boyfriend takes her into
the streetlight to look for damage while I talk to the guy on the
skateboard. We were both so shook up and pumped full of adrenaline that
neither one of us can think coherently. I ask him where he lives, and I
probably came off a little aggressive. He doesn’t answer. Dazy appears to
be ok, just a little blood on her leg, she’s not limping, she’s not
whining, her neck looks fine. So we part ways.
I get her home and take another look at her. She’s got puncture wounds on
her left rear leg, not too bad, I clean her up and bandage her and after
considerable amounts of tequila (for me, not Dazy), we go to bed. In the
morning, Dazy can barely walk. She won’t go outside to pee or anything.
So I stay home from work and take her to the vet. Turns out infection had
settled in her leg overnight. She had to stay at the vet and get the
infection drained and a few stitches. So, SIX HUNDRED dollars later and I
don’t know who this guy is. I do know he lives in the complex I live in.
I’ve seen him before, I’ll see him again. But I doubt I’ll be able to get
anything out of him. He was young, maybe 25, on a skateboard…letting his
pit bulls pull him. Anybody with pits should know you don’t let
your dogs lead you. You lead your dogs. (Yes, I watch the Dog Whisperer)
Sadly, I feel he was an irresponsible owner and dogs like his give dogs
like mine a bad rep.
It was quite traumatic for Dazy and myself. I cried all day yesterday, I
felt like I let her down. I’m supposed to be able protect her and I
couldn’t. She’s not the same dog right now either. I ask her if she wants
to go outside and she just shivers. She won’t wag her tail or give kisses
or anything. I imagine as she heals she’ll get back to her old self. But
for now, she’s a shaved-ass, stitched-leg, cone-headed dog.

Sorry no camera for stitch pictures, I broke the camera last time I tried
to take pic for b0g. :-(
the same thing happened to me too. the faggot-neighbours dawg bit my dog in
the head (!) and after 5 minutes of screaming, barking, whining and pulling
we finally got the two bitches seperated. it happened, that my dog had a
serious wound near her eye. the wound got infected and i had to take her to
the vet as well. surgery, shaved-face and happy faces when the doc said
everything's gonna be just fine. today lucy looks
great.
but i'm afraid this happens to a lot of dog-owners :\
legal advice from dr. bob:
actualy, you legaly can get the money out of him. show him the bill, and
tell him if he doesn't want to pay you've got a lawyer with the
papers for small claims court allready filled out. if that doesn't
persuade him then go ahead and take him to court. you have a witness, he
doesn't. the vet or animal nurse who tended to dazy is also a valid
witness.
Sorry for Dazy's bite. Sounds like
it could have been much worse.
Time to litigate (or
threaten). I'm not a fan of frivolous legal behavior. In this
case, using the laws & California's legal system are well
warranted to recoup your loss & possibly stem any future issues.
Fisrt, report the incident to the Police & Animal
Control agency in your area.
Second, study up a bit to arm
yourself with information that can help you get reimbursed for
Dazy's expenses. Including the follow-up visits to the Vet for
her wounds.
California is very clear on the
issue. You own a dog that bites, you are responsible for the damages.
(The sad irony of this is those fucks in the Bay area who's
monster dogs ate that women in their apartments hallway. They went to
court & should have been put away for manslaughter!)
Toss Dazy a Snausage for me & give her a friendly scratch behind
the ear from our kitty...
I'd force him to pay more. That bill was just for what
was done to help repair the dog. Your dog will probably not
be the same again. He should pay for the bill and be
fined for irresponsible pet ownership.

now ppl can hear me/
Watch out: A pitbull can make 250 Kgs/cm2 of pressure while bitting,
someplaces are considered as a weapon, so be consecuent: Next time, go
outside with a medium screwdriver and a loaded gun. If the fucking pitbull
bites "anything", you can be sure that he will not stop biting
(everybody trains them to it), so you can take that screwdriver and...: a)
Heavily insert it in the upper side of the pitbull's head without risk
of being bitten... Dog will instantly dead, or b) heavily insert it in the
dog's throat, from a side and remove it in circles, dog starts to
bleed during 5 minutes 'til death, or c) heavily insert it between 2
ribs from his backside, 2 cms at the left of the back spine and remove it
in circles. Of course, the loaded gun is for that pitbull's owner, so
no witness, no problem! Probably your dog won't eat the other dog, but
sure Dazy will eat almost all the other guy in one month. That way Dazy
would be very happy. I would be it
when i was younger, my neighbor had a pit-rottweiller mix. my mother had a
cat. it didn't end well.
my neighbor's yard was fenced with a wooden stockade fence with a
6" gap at the bottom. the dog was big, so noone ever figured it could
get out.
the cat got curious, went under the fence, and shot back out immediately.
that dog squeezed its big black ass out from under that fence and got that
cat. me and my neighbor were on that dog within seconds. we punched and
kicked the shit out of that dog, but we ended up having to pry the cat out
of the dog's mouth. the cat died within the next five minutes.
according to the law, the cat was only worth about $20. but we filed
charges for dog-at-large (big fine), and the neighbor, and his crackhouse
dog, were gone within a month.
AWWW poor dazy! give her lots of love from me!
my dog (shitzu poodle) ate one of my balls of hemp last year and it clogged
up her bowels, 1200 dollars for the surgery. she was 13 years old too so we
weren't sure if it would have been worth it, but she's still
alive and kickin'
I'm so glad she is going to be ok. When you find the owner, give him
an extra punch in the face for me woudl you. And give Dazy a good pat and a
tummy scratch if she likes them.
