I only searched for this because I saw a Karma point come and go from my
account...I didn't understand, so I looked for an answer. The
mysteries of b0g, as in why I can't see the actual balance of my
Karma; just the total amount of karmic transactions, will be a quandry
forever though.
Just like why forum and journal comments aren't searchable.
It came because someone awarded you positive karma. It went because you
awarded positive or negative karma to someone or didnt use the point within
24 hours and lost it.
This makes sense. One thing, though: Why do I not get any Karma points
when I have been awarded positive Karma?
I check my Karma pretty bloody regularly. It doesn't seem to
change much.
Not all Karma Points are created equal. Only peeps with a Karma
Point who rate you will make a change. There are other ways to
get Karma Points as well...
I think you may only receive them if you earn enough per day or
something... personally I think the "Welcome Back"
thing at the top should tell you if you have karma to burn,
because it's not every moment that I'm looking at my
own user profile.
