So, I get this call to go do lighting for 'Canadian Idol', your
pissant ripoff of 'American Idol' that 30-odd countries do.
It's a great crew with guys that have done this kind of stuff for
years, it's fucking halarious to hear the stories that these cynic
bastards have. Case in point, one of the 'judges' they call
'The Manatee'...get clips and figure out who; but in 4 years, the
joke hasn't gotten old, so it must hold some truth.
It's also going to be wierd seeing the work I've done live on
TV...usually I only see my work after much editing and colour/computer
imaging treatment. It's a whole new skill set and mindset for a work
environment, but one I can relate to have have cross-over skills for.
On the bad side...these are the kind of fucking ponces I will shortly have
to work around. I hope to dear god I don't snap mid-performance and
slaughter them. Time will tell. Pray for me to whatever gods you have.
