Fuck it...there's no work in town, I have some money saved.
I'm going to Jamaica. Shoulda booked earlier though. Have to make a
140mile trip to see my buddy who's there as well...just really,
really, far away fom me...by Jamaican standards. 140miles in Canada
ain't no thing.
Anyways, I got a deal, it's a new hotel...it says 4.5 stars but I
think it's too good to be true. Grand Bahia Principe, Jamaica.
It's my first vacation in 7 years...fuck I'm old.

Drink, dress-up and get sunburn! - A great British summer.
And yes, it takes between 2 and 5 days just for one result
in a test match. For the more, impatient there are
one-dayers and 20twenty matches.
Have you done any research on that place?
It's sounding real fishy to me from what I'm seeing from a google
search.
I read that they were 100% over budget and were not even going to be fully
open by their expected date.
Sounds like they're taking 'early' guest before the place is
ready.
I read this from one site...

Bahia Prinicipe Jamaica
We just came back from this hotel and it was a complete disaster! The hotel
is far from ready and is pure fraud. It will be beautiful once it is ready
but now it seems only 30% operational. Theirs leaks in many room, infested
with mouskitos, only a few restaurants, no tennis courts, the service is
not even close to even a 3 star hotel. The attidude is "no problem
man" but when you ask for something you may get it 2 days later if
your lucky. It was a complete disgrace. They kept on running out of Jamican
beer and rum!!! in Jamaica!!! Ridiculous!!! I strongly suggest not to go
until a year from now, not only is the hotel ready but the majority of the
staff does not seem to have any experience, it will definitely take time
before the hotel is full operational.
If you haven't booked (or even if you have) I'd cancel it and
stay somewhere else. There are many, many other deals you can get around
Runaway Bay or Montigo Bay, etc. (I've been to Jamaica twice)
at first i thought you were moving to jamaica...
i've heard of people being able to buy an acre of land in costa rica
for 100 $, so i thought maybe that applied to jamaica as well and
that's what you were doing, but unfortunately it's not...
