So, i should be studying for my Calc final, but instead im posting this.
So, appreciate the waste of time, if you please.
As of late, I have realised that i really enjoy experemental and extreme
music. This could include the genres digital hardcore, Sludge Metal, Drone
Metal, free-form Jazz, and industrial electronica. So, I plan to find a lot
of obscure, almost unlistenable bands, and enjoy them. In the meantime, I
think you should know what some good bands are in my eyes, a la journal by
Wit.
Firstly, Atari Teenage Riot. The creators of the Digital Hardcore genre,
they were known to start riots when the cops came to shut down their
concerts. And the music is just about as hardcore as you can get.
Next, the infamous Mr. Bungle, led by the ever maddening Mike Patton. I
plan on writing a little homage to him in the near future, so i wont go
into that now. All you need to know is that Mr. Bungle could be put in the
Funkmetal/grindcore/circus genre.
Finally, Add N to X. This shit is just earsplitting techno that cannot be
ignored, nor really enjoyed. Its more of a spectacle of strangeness, than
anything else. But I like it. It builds a horrible crecendo in each song,
then maintains ear-splitting highs and desk rattling lows for what seems
like too long. But its not.
Also, feel free to blow me if you dont like this music. I like it, thats
why i plugged it here. However, if you do like this stuff, and you know
something similar, feel free to tell me. I always love new music. |
