b0g is overpopulated with photoshop geniuses, so I'm asking for
some advice.
I am preparing a wallpaper for my PC (no contests or anything, just
personal enjoyment) and I am quite fond of Okami, that PS2 game some of you
might know about.
The original okami wallpaper was a tad too invasive - I couldn't even
see the icons - so I decided to cut away the main image, slap the cool
okami logo somewhere and then... I need something to fill the background,
but I don't know how to do it.
Black is good, but if I fill it with black I'll lose all the
"beefy" silhouette and the ink drawing will be ruined. I was
looking for some kind of parchment-texture on the background, something
that wouldn't look too ripetitive of course, but I don't know how
to fill the background with it. Also, if you have an idea that would look
good (and know how to implement it) feel free to express it.
Oh - mind you, goatse is not a valid suggestion, although it tickled my
mind.
ok, ok, an unrelated to entice your creativity

Yeah, you kinda read in my head - at the moment it's my
favourite. I think I'll "ruin" the canvas you created a
bit more, or add a thicker grain to make it even less boring. Thanks
mate
That's my second fave. Because it's dark and it gets a big +
in my book. That bright line on the logo is cool, but it gives it a
modern flare, a bit inappropriate for a deeply medieval game (and an
ink figure). But +++.
I'm liking it. Looks like it could be one of those you could
download from the official website. But it's way too zip and
flash and discostu and modern for the mood of the drawing, pretty much
like ostrogoth's.
