Friends/foes? What is this, myspace? Does b0g need to be MORE of a
'scoialite' thing than it already is? IMHO, it's got far too
much drama as it is. The reduction of the ability to see who +/-'d you
was a blessing, though I didn't think so at the time.
As a suggestion, I think there should be forums and a section for posting
videos. Seperate the two'd be good.

Edit Button-> How about beeing able to edit your own post 1.for a
limited time , maybe 5 minutes
2.or until the first rating
3.or after a reply to your comment
That way you are still able to change major screwups, but you canot
change it anymore after someone noticed it
* A possibilty to see if anyone has responded
to the last 10 comments one has made. * A small shit/skull icon next to offensive post titles. * 200kb file limit in journals. * A review-section. (books, CDs, movies, applications, games)
something that k-rad-bob thought of in the past.
* In the forums instead of date and time under last post, I think it would
be more intersting in knowing who posted it. *A search function for the forums if that wouldn't eat up way
too much of the b0g-power. *Some way to know who is the winner of a photoshop contest some days
after the voting has slowed down. *A section on "site navigation" where b0ggers can put
tutorials on various programs/ OS-hacks/ Wsnm über-ownage.
the ps-winner idea is good, would also pave the way for a hall-of-fame
or something. a page with the past 10 or 20 entries, and on mouse-over
you get to see the best rated reply.
File limit might be a good thing, if 250 people try to load 5*5MB
gifs in someones journal at once, the rest of the b0g-goodness
might loose some speed.
The current journal-image-limit is unknown and less than 200kb,
which I think is a bit small.
1) Make it so your script can tell the difference between a URL in a tag
and plaintext for the sake of breaking up long gobs of text. Having to use
stupid tricks like having to put a space after the URL is just lame.
2) Deny users who have 0 posts and/or less than 10 comments the ability to
create forum topics.
3) Make the script know which gob of selected text should be wrapped in
tags instead of just searching for the last instance of the string and
applying it to that.
4) Fix the post-title-as-URL system so it doesn't use special
characters that should not appear in URLs (i.e. make it only use
alphanumerical characters, dashes and underscores). Even having a period
at the end of the URL is a pain at times.
5) Put the title of the post/section in the webpage title tag (instead of
just "because you're worth it" for all of them). You do
know that this is THE most important usability feature of ANY website?
6) Make the search system actually usable. Also allow forum posts to be
searched.
7) Make it so that old journals by users who have deleted their account are
still accessible and findable (as in a list of all their journals).
8) Make the preview for a post actually reflect what will appear instead of
some stupid "<br />" tags appearing all over the place
instead of real line-feeds.
9) (cosmetic) Fix the preview window for new forum topics so that the
avatar isn't a broken image.
Features:
1) When the board tells you that an image has already been uploaded,
provide the path to the already uploaded image in case we want to use it in
the post anyway.
2) Provide a character-limit box next to the comments box so we know when
the maximum number of characters for that box is used up (BBC has one for
its comment box).
3) Force people to preview their posts/comments before posting them.
When you fuck up a comment everyone else gets to see it too. It
can't be that hard to hit back twice, since you have to do
it anyway when you post a comment.

Hmm what i missed in b0g since im registered is an EDIT button i'd
love that.
And what i would realy..i mean REALY love is a flash section :O people post
ideas what should be in the flash and tress has to choose one idea (like in
the photoshop section kinda)
1) A roller-coaster only section
2) A direct on-lin dial for the FBI or CIA
3) To have to put up my real email address so that I can get arrested
too
4) A VIP Aryan memebers only section
5) A 404 section
6) A section of vids and pictures that can cause seizures
7) A new karma system that allows users/members to either vote +, - or
"+ for Dopey_Scorpio" automatically, regardless of who you vote
for.
8) More explosions
9) a special 1337-only version of b0g
10) A net-nanny safe b0g for all mothers and infants to come to b0g! yay!
You know... editing comments can be BAD. People with comments considered
"bad" and receiving many [-] hits, could edit them while the post
is still hot and wreck havoc.
I like the "solemnity" of comments. Once you post them,
you're fucked.
I'd like to list/find *all* comments I ever made. I was looking
for this feature a couple of times now when I was searching for an
article that I couldn't find by keyword. but I remembered (kind
of) what comment I made on it...
how about the ability to add a music player in the journal posts, nothing
too fancy, and you could even set it to not allow mp3's, wma's,
or any other music files on b0g, but they would have to be hosted on some
other website, ie filelodge or something similar
reading over 3500 words can be dull without some good music playing
I agree on the music livening reading.
But I totally disagree on having it built in to the website.
I have a player running when I surf the "netwaves", I
don't need a conflict of players on my compy.
That would bring lawsuits, but more importantly I don't trust the
tastes of people on here. I don't want to hear some bullshit
Green Day or some other suck-ass group while reading.
Not only that, I often have my own music playing and there is nothing
worse than having some website playing its own music during my
listening like many of those myspace pages I have the misfortune of
visiting.
we should also have regular tests, so you can see how good a friend/lover
you are, i'am carrying a lot of insecurities around and i would really
like if you u r liek included a friends lists because then everyone could
see who i *heart* lol and once, stacy took her dick out and pee'd in
my mouth, i loved it, cya on myspace kids
They aren't scared of bandwidth, they're scared of copyright
infringements.. which is understandable because who wants to fight it
when the website you're fighting for doesn't bring in a
whole lot of revenue. So, if they want to get around the whole
copyright thing then they have to buy their own content... and like I
said, is it worth it if the site isn't making a lot of coin?
Just be thankful for the content b0g does provide. One of the best
communities on the web (I think anyways).
